Installer let me do some work! Let me cut out spot where SSB was and install a 9” Vulcan Chart Plotter.

New Blog posted: Two women, one boat, and one very confused captain (that’s me). Will I sail smoothly into romance or run aground on dumb decisions? Read my latest misadventure and place your bets! ๐ค๐ #DatingAtSea #CaptainClueless"

One on left will do the 4 panels going on the rear arch. 2 smaller ones separate the port and starboard panels on the cockpit roof.
.
Love all the thought process behind my install. Constantly thinking about serviceability!

Single, Normal Woman - Turns out, they might not exist. ๐ฆ๐ But “Old Lisa” hit me with some wisdom: "Self-discipline is the highest form of self-love." So, I’m staying focused—on my health, my boat, and cruising… even if it’s solo.
Meanwhile, my love life is still a nautical circus, but at least I might have a plan for next winter (hint: Bahamas, buddy boats, and possibly talking to seagulls). ๐โ

As most know, I’m not really that big of a drinker anymore, it’s just there’s nothing to do while they do the update but sit on the deck smoke cigars and drink watered down “beer.”

Gods got a master plan—and a messed-up sense of humor. โก๏ธ๐ฅ One loose connection nearly burned my boat down, but maybe that’s just His way of saying, ‘See? I told you to trust me!’ New blog is up—divine interventions, near disasters, and proof that sometimes, falling apart means falling into place. More junk arrived today! Now no need to putz and work around not having all of the components. Shown are:
- two solar controllers for the portside, starboard side, solar’s on the Bimini. (A 3rd one I already have will handle all the solar going on the arch.)
- 3 chargers that invert 50 hz to 60 hz shore power to charge the batteries.
- a 3rd inverter so my system is not configured to just barely handle the loads on the boat… with 3 inverters I can handle any load I put on the system.

I mean it is an IPA and it is day time!
.
Todays projects done!! I can rest a bit:
- removed old AGM batteries.
- bailed out dink from rain.
- tightened fishing rod holder.
- cleaned/cut/stored bilge hose.
- cleaned cockpit locker floor.
- washed down battery locker…fixing loose ladder.
- sent drone out for repair.
- oh, and did my IVIG Treatment.

Installing the auto transformer I pulled out the manual bilge pump hosing… IT WAS 80 FREAKING FEET LONG!
.
Cut it in ½! So much easier to store the smaller roll of hosing. Going down in port sugar scoop.

So the hose to the propane tank was getting dry rotted and I think it had a a small leak. So I replaced it . Went on Amazon, found a hose w/diameter of the connection I had. Figured that was it. After installing it, we found very low flow of propane. After researching, I found another short hose. The description EXACTLY the same, but it didn’t have that valve inside the fitting.
.
Just when I think I’ve learned all the systems on this boat I found another system I had to learn!

New blog up! I’m still upgrading Ohana (by paying people smarter than me), attempting to find a first mate without needing a life raft, and realizing my boat might be my most reliable relationship. Read about my misadventures, bad decisions, and unsolicited wisdom here. Warning: Contains laughter at my expense.

I spotted on my 5 mile walk today! Had them at Woodbine house but never seen them so big and so close up

Welp, dealing w/ getting my meds shipped to NC so I wrote about my MOGAD adventure! ๐ From thinking I had Lyme disease to steroids turning me into a human marshmallow—my latest blog spills all the ridiculous details of my ongoing medical circus. If you enjoy dark humor, medical disasters, and a grown man realizing stress is NOT, in fact, a good personality trait anymore, this one’s for you. Fair warning: contains inappropriate jokes, mild self-pity, and a desperate plea for a cute first mate. Read it here: โ

OK, I can’t crusher next to a beer cooler next to a trashcan… You just gotta have it!

Was Velcro attached but, now it’s a permanent staple!

Yes, it’s a day of “DAY DRINK’IN!”

Wind is finally died down, and it’s warm enough and Joe is working well as a replacement “Dink Captain.” Tomorrow, the wind changes direction from the south and then it will be nice and warm!

New Blog - Upgrading Ohana, running out of patience. Match catfish, crusty crew—finding a first mate feels harder than land in a hurricane. Screw it—new batteries, fresh setup, one-way south. Keep up or get left behind with the barnacles. โก๏ธโ๏ธ๐จ

Installer let Joe and I do more work last night!
Pulled wires that ran through boat for:
- SSB radio antenna cabling
- HDMI, USB, extra Cat-6 that went from nav station to TV station.
- Cellular antenna cable booster antenna.
.
Oh and the new touch screen monitor was installed!
